As part of the procurement consultancy process we assessed the newly acquired organisation’s people and capabilities, developed and executed a plan to communicate key milestones to both organisations, developed a new design for the newly created organisation, developed and executed a training plan for the new employees and worked a smooth handover of appropriate categories to those responsible in the new organisation.

STRATEGIC SOURCING

As part of this stream we assessed the spend from both organisations and identified a list of short, medium and long term opportunities that could be generated from leveraging the spend from both parties. Key owners for each of the projects were identified and tracked against in order to meet the targets.

FINAL SAVINGS

The new organisation was finalised within a year of acquisition and key personnel impacted were found new assignments. Supply throughout the transition was ensured and 10% savings on the total newly acquired spend were achieved totalling $5m savings.

SITUATION

A major player in the Beauty care business acquired a new hair care company. The procurement consultancy assignment was to lead the integration of the marketing purchases teams, ensure supply throughout the integration process and to realise savings as quickly as possible.

The intervention required work in 2 streams;
